intercept in Maths
The value where a line cuts a coordinate axis: x-intercept on the x-axis, y-intercept on the y-axis.
Put y = 0 to find the x-intercept and x = 0 to find the y-intercept. In y = mx + c, the constant c is the y-intercept.
